Today, as I suspend my campaign, I congratulate him (Barack Obama) on the victory he has won and the extraordinary race he has run. I endorse him, and throw my full support behind him.

Hillary Clinton Would Repeal Parts of Defense of Marriage Act:

The New York Times reports that Sen. Hillary Clinton included in her response to a gay rights group's presidential questionnaire that she would like to repeal part of the Defense of Marriage Act, which was signed into law by then-President Bill Clinton in 1996.

Although her campaign maintains that she is against gay marriage, she would favor granting full federal recognition and benefits to same-sex relationships.

Ted Koppel on Hillary Clinton's Vow to 'Bring our troops home' Within Her First 100 Days

Sen. Clinton said only that she would bring 'our troops home'.  She did not say 'all our troops'.  Go back over the record, and you will never find Sen. Clinton being so incautious as to promise that she will withdraw all US forces from Iraq.

Now I'm FOR Artificial Timetables for Withdrawal, and Fast Ones at That!

MR. BLITZER: I want to go very quickly to everyone. What would be, Senator Clinton, your top priority in the first 100 days?

SEN. CLINTON: Well, if President Bush has not ended the war in Iraq, to bring our troops home.

"As we celebrate Gay and Lesbian Pride Month, I want to commend the LGBT community on a historic year that brought our country closer to equality and closer to ending discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans

Just a year ago, I worked with my Democratic colleagues in the Senate as well as with LGBT leaders to defeat the divisive and discriminatory Federal Marriage Amendment (FMA). Since then, we not only defeated FMA, but we have been able to make real progress in achieving fairness for all Americans.

In fact, since June 2006, New Jersey and New Hampshire became the third and fourth states to adopt civil unions"
