The 7-Step Evolution of Hillary's Iraq Positions:

Since voting to authorize war on Iraq, Sen. Hillary Clinton’s stances have shown a steady evolution, going through each of the following seven stages:

1)        She voted for the war;

2)        She questioned the intelligence that her arguments for war were based on;

3)        She claimed that the Bush administration had distorted the intelligence;

4)        She said that she didn't regret giving Bush authority to go to war, but she did regret the way he used that authority;

5)        She said that the war resolution wouldn’t have come to vote if we know what we know now;

6)        She said that a war resolution wouldn’t have passed if we knew what we know now; to finally

7)        Now saying that she wouldn't have voted for war if she knew then what she knows now.

David Geffen on the Clintons Redux

"We aren't going to get in the middle of a disagreement between the Clintons and someone who was once one of their biggest supporters. It is ironic that the Clintons had no problem with David Geffen when he was raising them $18 million and sleeping at their invitation in the Lincoln bedroom."

Hillary Clinton's brother, Hugh Rodham, returns the nearly $400,000 he received from two clients in return for his successful lobbying for their last-minute pardons from President Bill Clinton.  The press had recently uncovered the payments.

Almon Glenn Braswell, the first of the two pardons secured by Hugh Rodham on the last day of Bill Clinton's presidency, had already served his 5 year sentence for fraud relating to claims relating to a baldness cure.  The pardon by President Clinton wiped the conviction off of his record.

The second pardon secured by Rodham was for Carlos Vignali, who, at the time of the pardon, had served 5 of the 15 years he had been sentenced to for his conviction for trafficking 800 pounds of cocaine.   In addition to the fee paid to Hillary Clinton's brother, Vignali's family had been significant contributors to the Democratic Party over the years.

I Used to Think That Timetables for Withdrawal from Iraq were a BAD Idea...

On this date in Hillar-istory- 2005

"We don't want to send a signal to the insurgents, to the terrorists that we are going to be out of here at some, you know, date certain. I think that would be like a green light to go ahead and just bide your time. We want to send a message of solidarity."

That's Hillary RODHAM, sweetheart!

Did You Know?

Since marrying Bill Clinton in 1975, Hillary has never legally changed her last name to Clinton.

The First Lady’s Comments on Net-regulation

"As exciting as these new developments are -- and I think Gregg's enthusiasm is shared broadly by Americans and people around the world-- there are a number of serious issues without any kind of editing function or gate-keeping function."

Note that these comments were made shortly after the Monica Lewinsky scandal was first exposed by an internet website.

Hillary and the House Painter

"Hillary, we've worked together long enough so you know that I'm like a house painter," I said, making a painting motion with my hand. "Every four years the house has to be painted.  So I come in and move all the furniture to the center of the room.  The center.  And I paint the walls.  When I'm finished, I go home and you can re-arrange the furniture any way you like."

"You silver-tongued devil, you," she replied with a smile.

Does Hillary’s latest healthcare proposal sound like a “Free Market” solution to you?

"And we're not going to provide health care for some people or most people, but to every single man, woman, and child in America.”

-Sen. Hillary Clinton
Fundraising E-mail

Most proposals for expand health care coverage consist of:
    -tax incentives to employers to provide insurance coverage;
    -allowing the self-employed the same tax deduction for insurance coverage as employer-provided coverage;
    -subsidies to low-income people to buy insurance coverage;

Senator Clinton’s latest proposal seems to go to the left of all of these, eliminating insurance coverage from the equation, so that WE can PROVIDE the health care.

Very scary, indeed.
